Program Overview:  NADAP's Project ACE (Assessment*Case Management*Employment) is an intensive, employment-focused case management program that helps more than 700 New York City residents design and implement comprehensive, individualized service plans to address client's housing, substance abuse, mental conditions and legal barriers. Project ACE helps client's move toward economic independence and self-sufficiency.

 

Job Title: Manager of Employment Services

 

Job Summary: Manage the vocational staff to meet placement and retention targets. The individual is responsible for understanding the ACE clientele, the business community and ensuring that the program meets all employment and retention goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to improve the efficiency of employment services
  • Supervise, train and evaluate the job developer and employment specialist staff. Provide assistance and support on a continuing basis
  • Attend meetings with job developer to cultivate and foster relationships with employers and potential employers and provide leads to job developers to pursue
  • Provide ongoing support to the vocational staff and assist with field visits to job sites
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting on client's progress
  • Monitor the vocational team's retention and placement milestones to ensure that monthly targets are being met
  • Act as liaison between the Assessment and Case Management units to provide feedback on vocational determinations
  • Create customized job opportunities for clients
  • Facilitate workshops and client orientation for clients who are work-interested, work-ready, and employed
  • Update reports and vocational team on job orders /job opportunities on a weekly basis. Informing the program of changes in policies and procedures implemented by HRA
  • Ensure that all client cases are being managed appropriately by staff and that services are in compliance with program's policies and procedures
  • Work closely with Project ACE's Business Manager to submit claims, meet billing deadlines and resubmit milestones that have been rejected by HRA

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; Masters Degree is preferred
  • Five years of experience in Workforce Development role and at least three years experience working with clients that have barriers to employment
  • At least one year of experience supervising vocational staff with monthly goals
  • Experience facilitating vocational workshops and providing placement and retention services
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) is required
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication
