Program Overview:

NADAP's Project ACE (Assessment*Case Management*Employment) is an intensive, employment-focused case management program that helps more than 700 New York City residents.  Staff conducts intensive client assessments and then designs and implements comprehensive, individualized service plans.  By addressing housing, substance abuse, mental and mental conditions and legal barriers, Project ACE helps clients move toward economic independence and self-sufficiency.


The Assistant Director oversees the case management and workforce development teams to meet all program goals and milestones. He/she plans, develops, enhances and implements the program. The Assistant Director reports to the Director.


  • Designs, updates and trains staff on program standards and procedures related to case management, employment services and community resource development
  • Assists in the development, facilitation and/or coordination of staff development and training
  • Oversees Case Manager Supervisors to ensure Case Managers provide adequate services to our clients. Ensure caseloads are equally distributed based on clients' needs
  • Monitors the quality of case managers contacts with clients to ensure appropriateness based on client needs
  • Ensures that work ready clients are referred for vocational services
  • Actively participate in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates, and communicating with the Human Resources Department on program needs
  • Trains and evaluate Case Management and Manager of Employment Services, and their staff, to ensure the delivery of clinical and employment services for clients
  • Develops and participates in quality assurance activities. Ensures the accuracy of all verifications for submission of milestones for payment to the funding source
  • Prepares monthly milestone projection and submits to the Director for monthly managers' meeting and budget to actual meetings to ensure maximization of operational efficiency
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with the funding source and other community-based organizations
  • Assists in the preparation and distribution of statistical and informational reports to NADAP and the funding source and participates in operations meetings


  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related fields with experience in program administration, development and supervision required
  • Minimum of 3 years in a directly supervising case managers and workforce staff
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working with clients that have barriers to self sufficiency
  • Seminar In Field Instruction (SIFI) certified preferred
  • The ability to problem solve and handle programmatic issues
  • Experience administering performance-based programs
  • Must have excellent organization skills and written and verbal communication skills  
  • Experience working with HRA databases such as NYCWAY is a plus
