Program Description: 

NADAP's Project ACE (Assessment*Case Management*Employment) is an intensive,employment-focused case management program that helps more than 700 New York City residents. Staff conducts intensive client assessments and then designs and implements comprehensive, individualized service plans. By addressing housing, substance abuse, medical and mental conditions, and legal barriers, Project ACE helps clients move towards economic independence and self-sufficiency.

 

Job Title: Job Developer – New York, NY

 

Job Summary: Actively market and recruit local companies and businesses who will consider Project ACE clients for their job openings.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and cultivate working relationships with businesses in New York City that link our clients with prospective job opportunities, which includes maintaining and updating an active job bank
  •  Develop an individualized career plan with clients to determine job readiness, skills, and career interests and implement and help manage plans
  • Schedule job interviews and make referrals to trainings/internships
  • Prepare clients for interviews by conducting mock interviews, providing assistance with obtaining appropriate interview/work attire, making referrals to community-based organizations and/or other services as  they relate to supporting long-term employment
  • Meet established direct contact and milestone productivity targets
  • Achieve and maintain consistent monthly placement and retention goals, such as eight job placements per month, with a successful retention rate
  • Discuss retention goals with clients and verify each placement from day one through at least six months of employment. Collaborate with peers, case management, and other partners to support client retention
  • Facilitate workshops, orientations, and regularly inform clients about our job prospects
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree  required
  • A minimum of 3 years of Job Development experience in a social service setting preferred
  • Ability to do fieldwork to meet with employers in New York City
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and team-orientated setting essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
