Overview

The HR Director reports to the COO and will be responsible for all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, and training and development.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting investigations.
  • Manage a recruitment team responsible for sourcing and hiring the best talent.
  • Ensure compliance with NADAP's policies and governmental laws and regulations.
  • Drive, influences, advises and supports the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structure, people processes, and best practice initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior management team to create and implement a culture that attracts and retain the best talent.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Identify and implement a retention and diversity/inclusion program.
  • Ensure NADAP's compensation and benefits plans are completive.
  • Ensure competent administration of NADAP's benefits program.
  • Design and implement a training and development curriculum for all NADAP employees.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a HR Manager in a non-profit or for-profit environment, including supervisory responsibilities of staff responsible for all HR functions.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and rapport.
  • Proactively address the HR needs for the business while maintaining alignment with the strategic vision of NADAP.
  • Experience in providing training and development programs to all levels of employees.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong consulting, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel within NYC to different NADAP sites to provide HR support.
  • Comfortable simultaneously managing others and producing a high volume of individual work in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-energy environment.
  • Strong legal acumen related to employment laws and ability to work with outside counsel.
