Job Title: Vocational Case Manager – New York, NY

 

Job Summary:                                                                                 

To provide assessment, case management, job readiness and retention services to CES clients to help them secure employment and remain on the job. Assist clients in preparing for work by reducing and addressing barriers to employment. Facilitate 3-day job readiness workshop.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospective client orientation sessions
  • Complete intake forms
  • Facilitate 3-day job readiness workshops
  • Customize employment goals for each client
  • Provide ongoing counseling and retention services
  • Schedule clients to come in with pay stubs in a timely fashion and provide metro card incentives
  • Collaborate with Job Developers to assist clients with finding gainful employment
  • Outreach and establish relationships with treatment providers for client referrals, feedback, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • At least two years of experience in workforce development
  • Experience with substance abuse/chemical dependence populations
  • Experience in facilitating workshops or other public presentations 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience with criminal justice system a plus 
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
