Overview

Program Overview:

NADAP's CareerCompass, one component in HRA’s initiative to address the unique needs of improving employment and training outcomes in NYC, provides orientation, comprehensive and individual employability assessments and service coordination for adults 25 years of age and older.  As the first step in HRA’s programming, CareerCompass will identify and connect individuals to an education, training and/or employment track.

 

Job Title: Director of CareerCompass (Brooklyn)

Responsibilities

The Director oversees the CareerCompass program in the Brooklyn location. The Director is responsible for achieving monthly performance targets through successful management of program operations. Key responsibilities include program design, execution and evaluation, budget oversight, supervision and management of mid and senior level managers. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the quality assurance program, statistical reporting; and development of collaborative relationships with partner agencies, referral resources, CBO's and government agencies.

 

  • Develops, directs, administers and evaluates the program to meet the funding sources requirement
  • Hires, trains and supervises the management staff of CareerCompass to ensure NADAP is meeting program goals, objectives and milestones
  • Identifies and develops client data and tracking methods.  Maintains contract accountability requirements.  Establish program procedures and systems and make appropriate amendments and updates as required to meet maximum outputs
  • Oversees all program staff, program operations and all administrative functions
  • Evaluates program work-flow, referrals from HRA and referrals to Career Advance and other HRA programs
  • Monitors completion of orientation, assessment and all service delivery to meet program deadlines and performance goals
  • Works in collaboration with city staff and other contracted vendors to meet city and program objectives

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree in Business, Public or Health Administration, Social Work or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of senior management position.
  • Change management, team leadership, and knowledge of factors that influence human behaviors and decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level is required.
  • Must have demonstrated progressive responsibilities in a large workforce environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written skills; ability to make presentations.
  • Success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making is required.
