    Position Summary

     

    The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager serves as a leader in a comprehensive quality assurance program, providing guidance, auditing, support, and assurance of policies and regulations within the agency.

    The QA Manager improves the quality of client care by providing monitoring and consistent critical feedback to the department.

    The QA Manager identifies and standardizes best practices, and assures ongoing compliance with NADAP and contractor/funder policies and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    Collect and compile statistical quality data. Analyze and use that data to measure compliance, efficiency, and quality of efforts in a standardized way.  Distribute reports to departmental management and staff, and participate in efforts to enhance outcomes.

     

    Review clinical documentation by staff members, both systematically and randomly, to identify omissions and errors that require intervention to drive improvement.

     

    Oversee departments' Quality Assurance reports; oversee client satisfaction surveys.

     

    Utilize program databases, the Data Warehouse and other electronic tools, as well as HRA STARS, with support from the departments' Systems/Business Managers to query, retrieve, and evaluate performance samples to measure needs and improvements.

     

    Develop and provide training in a variety of quality areas, as needed.

     

    Monitor department-wide supervisory QM review activity for timeliness and productivity.

     

    Develop formal QM procedure manual as reference tool for supervisors and managers, and to define standards clearly and uniformly for department.

     

    Participate in departmental meetings as a participant, trainer, or contributor.

     

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    3 years relevant work experience.

     

    Bachelor's Degree required. Masters preferred.

     

    License: LMSW/LCSW/LMHC

     

    Proficient in Microsoft Office and databases.

    Familiarity with statistical theory preferred; prior experience with QM, QA, or Utilization Review required.
