Program Overview:

Project ACE (Assessment*Case Management*Employment) is an intensive, employment-focused case management program that helps more than 700 New York City residents. We are dedicated to assisting clients identify their barriers to employment by completing a comprehensive assessment and by referring qualified clients for case management services. By addressing housing, substance abuse, medical/mental conditions and legal barriers, Project ACE helps clients move toward economic independence and self-sufficiency. That is our goal!



The Peer Recovery Advocate will help clients resolve barriers. They will work with clients on site and in the community with the goal of connecting them to resources that support recovery


  • Participate in outreach to clients who are at risk of relapse
  • Facilitate recovery oriented groups and organize social activities on site and in the community
  • Assists clients to identify goals, strengths, and personal interests
  • Work with the team to create a Relapse Prevention Plan to support the clients' recovery
  • Promote self-advocacy and identify community resources that support clients' goals
  • Escort clients to appointments, self-help groups and other resources in the community
  • Attend team meetings and collaborate with staff members to ensure clients' needs are met


  • High School Diploma with at least one year of work related experience Required
  • New York Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) Required
  • The Peer Recovery Advocate must have personal and working knowledge of the barriers within addiction, support services, and a demonstrated commitment to the recovery community
  • Ability to do fieldwork at least 50% of the time
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Bilingual Spanish Preferred
